Eu já entendo como um tipo de evolução. Ninguém mais é inocente nessa área. Estudam outras artes marciais para ampliar as possibilidades. Eu acho uma certa covardia, levar? a luta pro chão e usar de técnicas que só vc conhece. Covardia é uma palavra forte, mas era um caminho fácil que estava aberto para o desbravador Gracie. Quando as pessoas assimilaram o que era o BJJ a coisa ficou mais complicada e hj sabemos que não é uma arte marcial completa (nenhuma é).

Pra mim o bom daquela época era exatamente isso. Um lutador de Sumô contra um lutador de Jiu Jitsu. Um lutador de Muay Thai contra um lutador de Judô. Pra mim isso dai sim era MMA. O cara sabia o dele e ia enfrentar o oponente de outra área. Hoje não tem disso. Todos os caras lutam MMA. MMA virou a arte macial onde você é um atleta que sabe um? pouco de cada. As vezes é mediocre cada parte. Eu particularmente não curto. Todo mundo padronizado. Destaca quem tem talento e não pela luta.

15:49 that's FOREVER in a fight..FOREVER..I remember little 2 minute rounds in TKD in my 20s and being amazed how LONG 2-minutes really was..15:49 carrying Dan S and all that weight :-) THAT was absolutely amazing. A few of us thought Gracie was just going to get smothered out (the original PPV of that blacked out before the fight ended if anyone remembers --? we tought he may have been really hurt). Those guys from Brazil can fight with their eyes closed literally :-) Still awesome today!!
