This never happens these days - only people who are proven for murder/rape beyond reasonable doubt are convicted. Also, assuming the? non-existent, how will you give back 30 years of miserable locked-up time, with wife acting like single mother for the children growing up without a father, to someone mistakenly charged? Although, this never happens these days in legally fair societies, assuming it did, either way is a huge injustice. You might claim that one us just slightly less unjust. Maybe.
