I only ride it in mx track and it takes the burn amazing, suspension is good but with a revalve and/or spring change to your weight it's better. I just adjust the suspension with comp/reb. screw but next summer probably get a suspension setup. I redo the? top-end last-winter and rode it and race all season long, any problem! This winter i'll put new crank bearing (OEM bearing since 2007) and major esthetic project. Video in some months ;)

And riders make races, not the bikes. You might just be a better rider than your friend or you have your OEM parts tuned better (carb clip, air/fuel mix, powervalve timing). I've been on CR250s and RM250s and it is all preference.
