Perhaps the biggest ... By: preiser88. on 29 Dec 09, 19:41:40 Perhaps the biggest problem is that -- price aside? -- this layout is VERY repetitive. Same themes over and over -- weird bridges, grandma vs. the world, factories built on toothpicks, cantilevered structures. So...overly whimsical and repetitive....

Most of your points ... By: livardo. on 08 Jun 09, 12:43:39 Most of your points are valid. I did see quite a few trains the day I went though. It does need someone to go through the? whole thing with a tootbrush and they need to lower the price! Cheers.

Absolutely filthy ... By: scrawnieawnie. on 08 Jun 09, 12:23:21 Absolutely filthy and run down. It looks like the kind of place you could get murdered in and your body would not get discovered for years. Hardly? any trains running. Holes in the layouts and it goes on forever. No guided tours or explanations of layouts. It was once magnificent I'm sure. Only for a hard-core enthusiast or a small child. Also pricey and walking thru takes at least an hour with no exit...

By: volkswagengt1. on 05 Apr 09, 18:13:35 ive been here as a child and want to go again its been probably 6 or 7 years maybe longer but i was always amazed by train layouts i was wondering if they were still open and running and how the admision price is because it used to be a? bit pricey but well worth it if anyone has been here recently let me know
It was the "World's ... By: northlandz. on 29 Mar 09, 02:05:36 It was the "World's Largest" when it opened. At 53k sq, feet, and 115 HO loops. If are looking for every sq. inch to be clean/dusted, it's not. But the Log scene, Snow scene, Hiking scene, Ghost Town, Geneville, and the Golden Spike/ Grand Finally, are very well done and are more like you would see at a club's monthly display.? The rest is mega bulk, with a smudge of tongue in cheek humor and special effects. Well worth a 10-hr trip! Just make sure you get to the door two hours before close.

That one bridge ... By: htc6600. on 19 Dec 10, 04:33:38 That one bridge looks vaguely like the one in "Bridge on the? River Kwai." I wonder if there are an HO scale Colonel Saito and Nicholson walking across it.

Just a little ... By: codeman2008. on 14 Mar 09, 03:02:11 Just a little correction. This isn't the cathedral church, the Episcopal Cathedral in Boston is on Tremont Street (Saint Pauls Cathedral). You'd think it was a cathedral though! It is one beautiful church, there is no doubt about that.
Also, that big porch-like-thing, over the three doors in the back, comes? in handy during a rain storm when one doesn't have an umbrella..... not a good experience for me!
Beauuuuuuuuutiful Church!
Another nice cathedral in Boston, MA. Wonderful history. Check the Wikipedia article on it:

Here we see cattle grazing by the beach. No doubt someone "owns" them, but I couldn't see anyone at all tending after them. There's some kind of beachwood they like to chew on, and they go down to the beach on their own accord. Interesting to say the least.
