The series just? has some dark moments as well (Arthas killing the king). Maybe it's just because WC1 has bad graphics which makes it appear darker (it's the same with SC1 vs SC2 and Diablo 1 and 2 vs Diablo 3).

By: Typanoid. on 09 Dec 10, 09:36:58 Warcraft 3 is a good game - it made the world bigger and richer? and brought back many elements from Warcraft 1 I missed in Warcraft 2 (like Dungeon missions and Raiders) and balanced everything superbly (stronger Grunts ftw!), unfortunately the whole kiddy-oriented tone completely destroyed it for me.
In a perfect world, Blizzard would do a Warcraft IV RTS that brings back the tone of the older games - I can live with brighter, friendlier colors, but lets try a little less cheese
