I agree! I don't know what the person is talking about! This piece is not even easy as he would think. This is a real composition with real intricate use of dynamics. He's acting as if this is a simple chord? progression. It takes a while to master a song like this because it still takes a large amount of discipline. Little did he knows that concert pianists play this piece and I even saw people in piano competitions play this piece.

Your arguments are not strong. You don't have to play to impress anybody. She likes Chopin and this is probably her favorite piece and this is mine too. This piece is not even easy as anyone might think. It has intricate use of dynamics that takes time to master. This is not a let down and playing an instrument shouldn't have anything to do with being easy or hard. Many people are? appreciative of those that can read and play classical music, especially in a mainstream setting.

When you play? in a concert, you play to impress, if you want to play music because you love it you play it at home, but when somebody is paying to listen to you, you then want to impress them. I'm not saying she's not introducing people to classical music but what I am saying is that she's playing very easy pieces which is a let down.

This is not a simple piece and any real pianist would know that. This is an impressive piece and it is a concert piece. I seen many pianists play this in concert and piano competitions. This piece has many nuances and use of dynamics. I can figure that some 14 year olds wiould have a hard time? understanding this. how dare you deny the genuis of Chopin and this piece in particular. This is just not some watered down pop piano chord progression, this is a real composition.

I'm 14 and can play this with ease, just because she's a pop singer that doesn't mean that it's impressive that she can? play a relatively simple piece. I don't care who somebody is, if i played this at her age in a concert i'ld be embaressed about how easy it is.

I wished she played this piece on a Steinway though than a Yamaha because I think classical geared pieces are better sounding on? Steinways. This a great performance still! She rocks!

This piece is not really easy as people think it is and she is an accomplished? pianist. Grade 6/7 level is not easy, maybe third level. There is sitll level of technicality in this piece that still takes a while to master. Many professional pianists should know that this piece is a very profound and artistic piece to play. What you said doesn't make any sense. Do you know any pop stars that can be able to even tackle this piece? No. Anyone who plays Chopin well like she does is fine in my book.

The raindrop prelude is one of chopin's easiest pieces geared at a grade 6/7 level. She's? hardly an accomplished pianist by playing this easy classical piece although it does sound nice. Not exceptional, nice.

She's amazing! She's one of the few? pop contemporary musicians that can play classical pieces and who have studied? piano literature. She's an amazing vocalist and pianist. She's a beautiful woman and such an inspiration! I love her to pieces! She should be what every up and coming artist aspires to be. No auto-tune singer, classically trained musician, and classy beautiful woman. She's beautiful on the inside and outside. She's such a great talent!

Wow. I have always liked Alicia Keys, but my respect for her as a musician just went up quite a bit. Being a classical pianist myself, I can really appreciate her knowledge of and ability to play real piano compositions, not just watered-down pop chord progressions. I was not expecting such a musical? performance of Chopin from a mainstream artist, quite honestly. Go Alicia!!
