This is me in a Robin DR400
It was my first solo flight AND my first birdstrike!
The demage was marginal - The plastic paneling of the right main gear had a few cracks. Nothing duct tape couldn't fix... I flew again later =)
As you can tell from watching the video, it's an old Audi with inline 5-cyl engine.
The shifts were at 5000rpms, the stock revlimiter is set to 6250rpms.
Important:
- The car NEVER exceeded the speed limit!
- The car NEVER was on the wrong side of the street!

Even during winter time with temperatures around -15°C. It starts? very well, it doesn't rust and as you say, the quality is very good. After 200'000km it still doesn't make any rattling noises like a Golf when driving on bumpy roads.
I recommend you the 2.3 5-cyl engine because it's very reliable. You can drive it with LPG but it doesn't burn very much fuel. It takes around 8-9 l/100km.

By: MrLowAltitude. on 08 Jun 10, 16:42:27 Die Karts? in Roggwil beschleunigen nicht so gut, deshalb ist es wichtig, möglichst "rund" zu fahren und viel Schwung mit durch die Kurve zu nehmen. Für die langezogene Doppelkurve bei 2:49 zum Beispiel hole ich recht weit aus, um die Kurve dann in einem schönen runden Bogen zu fahren. Mit der richtigen Linie kann man diese Kurve fast vollgas fahren ohne dabei zu rutschen! Bei der engen S-Kurve hole ich auch immer aus und fahre dann so gerade wie möglich durch. Viel Spass!

Kleiner Tipp: Die Karts in Roggwil untersteuern meist etwas, schieb den Sitz ganz nach vorne (Lässt sich mit dem roten Hebel links neben dem Sitz machen) um mehr Gewicht auf die Vorderachse zu bringen. Wenn er dir hinten wegrutschen will, kannst du den Sitz wieder etwas zurück schieben.

On the first picture, you can see this poiler.
As you can tell from the duplex exhaust, this is a 5- or 6-cylinder.

Ein S2 wär schon was feines aber da musst du vorsichtig sein: Der Verbreuch ist relativ hoch (nicht unter 12 Litern...) und wenn der Turbolader mal flöten geht graifst du tief in die Tasche...
